On this page
A check of whether ChatGPT and other AI assistants can find and read your website.
- More people ask ChatGPT and other AI assistants who to hire. The assistant names a few businesses, and the rest are never seen.
- Our scan looks at your website the way those assistants do, and checks whether they can find and understand it.
- You get a short list of what to fix, in plain words, and a version for whoever looks after your website.
Who it is for
Any business that depends on being recommended: a plumber, a tour operator, a dentist, a bookkeeper.
What is changing
People used to search on Google and click through a list of websites. More and more, they ask an AI assistant such as ChatGPT instead: “Who is a good plumber near me?” The assistant does not show a list. It reads websites, picks a few businesses and writes an answer.
A business that is not in that answer has lost the customer before its website was ever opened, and it cannot see why.
What the scan does
It looks at your website the way the assistants do, and checks the things that decide whether they can find you and understand you:
- whether AI assistants are allowed to read your website at all;
- whether your pages say plainly what you do and where;
- whether the information assistants look for is there and easy to read.
It reads your website in the language it is written in, in seven languages.
What you get
- A short list of what to fix, starting with the quick wins.
- Every point written twice: once in plain words for you, once for whoever looks after your website.
- A report on screen and as a PDF.
No score out of a hundred
Many tools give a website a score. We do not, because nobody can say what such a number is made of. The report tells you what it found, for example “ChatGPT is not allowed to read your website”, so you can check every point yourself.
When the scan cannot see a site
Some websites turn automated visitors away. When that happens, the report says so. It does not say your business is invisible, because the scan never saw your site.
Where it stands
The scan is ready and free on this site. Try it on your own website.
